About

Built by a volleyball parent.

Alva Crawford, who built the Get Seen Playbook, smiling with her arms crossed.

I’m Alva Crawford. I’m an employment lawyer by day and a volleyball parent the rest of the time. I built the Get Seen Playbook because I needed it.

When my daughter started the college recruiting process, we hired a recruiter. I thought that meant the hard part was handled. The recruiter covered the strategy: coach relationships, program knowledge, visit planning, call preparation, compliance guidance. Everything else was still ours. Finding schools that fit. Tracking who we had contacted and who had answered. Pulling stats after every tournament. Emailing 20 to 30 schools before and after every tournament, and over 100 for nationals.

So I did what I do for a living. I made a system.

How it was built

I learned AI from scratch to do this. I used it to handle the routine work and kept the judgment for us. Every template in the Playbook is based on a real email we sent. The Pipeline Tracker is the one we use right now. The process is still running, so when something stops working, I fix it, and the Playbook changes with it.

What I am not

I’m not a coach. I’m not a recruiter. The Playbook is not recruiting representation, and it does not guarantee a result. It is a repeatable system I built to keep my own family organized through the process. Then I built it out so other families can use it too.
